Freedom Awards – 2017

7The Atlantic Council Freedom Awards recognize extraordinary individuals and organizations that defend and advance the cause of freedom around the world. Yesterday in Warsaw were awarded:
- Dr. Zbigniew Brzezinski – US National Security Advisor to President Jimmy Carter. Posthumous award accepted by Dr. Brzezinski son, Ian Brzezinski;
- Ambassador Daniel Fried – Former US Ambassador to Poland;
- NATO Forces in Central and Eastern Europe. Accepted by General Salvatore Farina, Commander JFC-Brunssum;
- Migrant Offshore Aid Station (MOAS). Global Search and Rescue NGO. Represented by founders Christopher, Regina and Maria Luisa Catrambone;
- Ani Choying Drolma – Musician, Humanitarian, and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador to Nepal.

This is a collection of analytical papers and policy recommendations produced by participants of a project “The European Answer to the Eurasian Challenge,” implemented in 2015-2016 by the following non-governmental organisations: Charter’97 Foundation (Belarus/Poland), Freedom Files Foundation (Poland), Foundation Institute of Public Affairs (Poland), EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy (Czech Republic), International Centre for Democratic Transition (Hungary), Centre for Social and Business Initiatives of Yaremche (Ukraine), Institute for Public Affairs (Slovakia), M.E.S.A.10 (Slovakia). The International Visegrad Fund provided financial support for the project.

Andrei Sannikov’s Book Presented At International Book Fair In Warsaw

Books Of BelarusA pavilion “Books Of Belarus” was opened on the 7th Warsaw International Book Fair.
This is a Swedish literary project under the direction of Mary Soderberg, which popularize books by Belarusian authors.

Andrei Sannikov’s book “Belarusian Amerikanka or Elections Under Dictatorship” was presented on the opening day of the exhibition.
